The Portland Maine Film Festival Seeks Bahamian Films

Bahamas Film Commission and the The Portland Maine Film Festival are teaming up to hold a special screening of Bahamian films as part of the festival's cultural exchange program. The Portland Maine Film Festival takes place in Portland Maine USA October 4th-7th 2012.

Portland is a small coastal city known as an artistic cultural center in the state of Maine. Craig Woods of the Bahamas Film Commission will attend the festival and present the the Bahamian Films as a special guest and panel speaker.

Tyler Johnston founder of the Portland Maine Film Festival (PMFF) says: "As a fellow Bahamian film maker I realize how important it is for Bahamians to have access to opportunities outside of our Island nation. There is a growing number of people in the Bahamas who are really creating some fantastic motion picture work. This cultural exchange program is a great opportunity to expand your networks and get your work seen by larger audience."

Those interested submitting a film to the festival can find more information at the festival web site:www.portlandmainefilmfest.com

The Festival is offering free submissions to all Bahamian films.
