The Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) wishes to advise the public
that a BREA Licensing Course will be held in Grand Bahama from October
17th through 22nd at the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce office.

interested in enrolling in the course are asked to contact any of the

Freeport, Bahamas - Get ready Grand Bahama, for a foot stomping, finger snapping, exhilarating journey!

 

The Grand Bahama Performing Arts Society is getting ready to host its
last performance of the season called, "Street Beats" starring the
visiting professional dance and percussion group called, The Street
Beats Group.

The show will take place one night only on October 1st, 2011 at 8:00pm at the Regency Theatre.

 

The Street Beats Group are a team of young performers based in New York
City. Their shows are a high energy urban movement of hip hop and break
dancing...

Nassau, Bahamas - Following a recent donation

Baark! (Bahamas Alliance for Animal Rights and Kindness) has been
able to purchase a new vehicle. This will enable the charity to seriously
tackle the number of roaming and stray dogs and cats in Nassau and The
Family Islands. They will begin their mission this fall with the

aim
of spaying and neutering up to 2,400 animals annually. The van has been

In conjunction with the
group

Stray Busters a team of volunteers will use the T-N-R (Trap-Neuter-Return)
method for roaming community dogs. They will target one area of the
island at a time, transporting dog to be sterilized at participating
veterinary...

Minister of National Security, the Hon. O.A. "Tommy" Turnquest Friday praised deceased Police Corporal 972 Sidney Johnson for his "outstanding contributions" to community service in The Bahamas.  

A "gifted"  musician who spent all 21 of his years on the Royal Bahamas Police Force in the Police Band and the Community Policing section, Corporal Johnson was laid to rest Friday following services at St. Barnabas Anglican Church.
