BARGAIN DEAL ON PUPPY ADOPTIONS

BARGAIN DEAL ON PUPPY ADOPTIONS

Tue, Jan 31st 2012, 10:00 PM

THE Bahamas Humane Society has announced a "Superbowl Special" on puppy adoptions.

In a statement issued yesterday, the BHS said from now until the big game on February 5, all puppies will be offered at a reduced rate.

The special is being launched because the shelter is full to capacity, a situation brought about in part by the construction boom in New Providence, which the BHS says has unearthed litters of puppies.

To adopt a new pet or get more details about the Superbowl Special, visit the BHS shelter in Chippingham between 11am and 4pm Monday to Saturday, or call 323-5138.

The January 18 memo comes more than a year after an AP investigation uncovered widespread abuses in the J-1 Summer Work Travel programme, which annually allows more than 100,000 foreign college students to work in the US for up to four months. It came from Adam Ereli, assistant secretary for the State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and was addressed to Assistant Secretary of State Ann Stock.
