ONE day before he was scheduled to travel to the 2008 Olympic Games as a sportscaster for ZNS, Marcellus Hall's mother passed away. Yesterday, the co-host of the Sports Guys show on the new sports radio station lost his father.

Basil 'Duren' Hall, one of the outstanding pitchers and cricketers back in the 1950-70s, passed away at home. He was born on January 23, 1943.

Hall not only held his own at home, but he went on the Bahamas' national team that made it to the Wichita Baseball Tournament. He went on to sign a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles. But after getting hit in his eye, he was unable to ful ...

IT'S HARD to imagine a more half-way attempt at cashing in a second time than "The Hangover Part II."

Seriously, it feels like the script was pieced together with the help of Mad Libs, with only slightly different and raunchier details replacing those that helped the original "Hangover" from 2009 become the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time (it made more than $467 million worldwide).

month of wholesome activities

Boys Club of the Bahamas puts on month of wholesome activities

IN an effort to help provide an alternative to crime, the Boys Club of the Bahamas is initiating a month of wholesome activities to bring together young boys and men in the same forum.

Rev Samuel Rolle, founder and organiser, has indicated that the activities will begin 8-9:30am today at the Albury Sayle Primary School with a Father/Son Prayer Breakfast.

The event will be held under the patronage of the Bahamas Christian Council, now headed by Rev Ranford Patterson, pastor of the Cousin McPhee Cathedral AME Church.

The other events are as follows:
