PORT TARGETS MARCH END FOR BISX LISTING

THE ARAWAK Port Development Company's (APD) chief financial officer, Dion Bethel, said yesterday it was forwarding its application for listing on the Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) this week, and expected to be a publicly traded company before the end of March 2012.
Mr Bethel told Tribune Business yesterday: "We had a Board of Directors meeting on Monday, and we got the approval to proceed with the application for listing on BISX. That application will be sent to them the latter part of today or tomorrow.

FNM hits out at 'can't do' PLP

THE FNM hit out the PLP yesterday, branding it a party that does nothing but "criticise what they can't do."
The governing party was responding to comments made by the opposition in relation to the opening of the Thomas A Robinson Stadium. A statement from the FNM said the new stadium is a source of pride for all Bahamians.
