My experience participating in the World Wide Photowalk

Nassau, Bahamas - Before I picked up my camera and decided to get up and
go out on the World Wide Photowalk on July 24th I was thinking to myself about how  I could compose a
different concept that would stand out and open the viewers eyes a
little. After contemplating back and forth I finally came up with a
conclusion to shoot black & white frames only, nothing more - nothing
less.

The Photowalk began at Starbucks, Harbour Bay Center. This was the
location for all interested photographers who would be playing a part in
this first Photowalk in The Bahamas which will become an annual event. I
must admit I was overly excited, so I  arrived early and was in the
first ten folks to come out.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - As Miss Grand Bahama, Tempestt
Stubbs, prepares for her first international competition, the Miss
Friendship International Pageant which is scheduled to take place in
China from September 7 - 28, 2010 she is busy coordinating each outfit
from head to toe. Thanks to two local stores, she is able to stand with
pride and shine with added appeal as she selects new foot wear and
accessories.

 

"I am thrilled to travel to China to represent Grand Bahama Island
and indeed The Bahamas", says Miss Grand Bahama.  "This is one of the
main reasons why I entered the Miss Grand Bahama competition.  I wanted
the opportunity to travel and I consider it a privilege to represent my

The Bahamas International Film Festival will present encore presentations of several of the films from last year's film festival at the Old Fort Bay Club begining tonight with the airing of The Price To Pay and Insignificant Others.
"We want to make sure that people have the opportunity to see the films shown last year and to showcase the film makers," said Leslie Vanderpool, BIFF's founder.
"Every one of them is well done, which is why we are showing them again.  They are really good quality and have great stories to be told."  
The series of films, which will be run into November, include short and feature length productions
