Frequent Flyer to The Bahamas Files for Bankruptcy

A bankruptcy filing by Gulfstream International Airlines will not affect any routes coming to the country, according to a company official who described the decision as a financial move. Spokesman for the Florida-based airline Bruce Hicks told Guardian Business that none of the flights servicing The Bahamas will be in jeopardy. "This move was strictly made to better position ourselves financially," Hicks said. "None of our operations will be disrupted including The Bahamas, which is a very important market to us." The airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in order to restructure its debt and secure long-term financing. President and CEO of the company Davis Hackett said.......
