October is National Career Awareness Month

Nassau, Bahamas ? The second National Careers Awareness Month (NCAM) slated for October, Minister of Education, the Hon Carl W Bethel has announced.
Under the theme, ?Empowerment today for our destiny tomorrow,? NCAM seeks expose students to the many career path choices.
Minister Bethel thanked the many partners for their support of this important event.
?The staff of the Guidance Counseling Unit has once again, bravely taken on the challenge of seeking to address the needs of industry in this crucial time when the world is experiencing a global economic downturn,? said Mr Bethel.

?They could not have done this alone, so once again I thank our partners for their continuing sterling support.?

Activities scheduled for National Awareness Month include a Town Meeting on October 1, a teleconference with Grand Bahama, Abaco, Exuma, Eleuthera and Inagua, and Speakers Circuits for students on the Family Islands.

NCAM culminates with the National Careers Fair, October 27 ? 29 at the Kendal G L Isaacs Gym.
