Employees concerned over BFS/Prime Bahamas merger

The acquisition of local wholesaler Prime Bahamas by Bahamas Food Services(BFS)has left a bitter taste in the mouths of some Prime Bahamas employees, who claim that they were given a few days'notice that they would have to reapply for their jobs with no guarantees that they would be rehired.
"This is a cost-cutting process. It's unavoidable,"said Prime Bahamas CEO Garland Evans at the company's warehouse yesterday."It's either that or close the business down completely."

A lot of companies, particularly Prime gave horrible service. These Bahamian workers become afraid when they're going to be dropped. Give good, courteous, kind service before and your employer will have a hard time getting rid of you!!! The service in this country is lamentable!!!!
