Employees charged with stealing gas from Police Garage

An employee at the Police Garage yesterday denied that he stole four 55-gallon drums of gasoline from his workplace on October 6.
Police charged Frederick Smith, 48, of Water Street, Big Pond, and Rudolph Burrows, 57, of St. Albans Drive, with the alleged theft of the gas, which is worth$928.40.
However, only Smith appeared for his arraignment before Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethell, as Burrows is reportedly in hospital.
Three other men are charged with receiving the stolen property. Christopher Rolle, 33, Nehemiah Maycock, and Olgan Moss denied those accusations during their arraignment.
