ARAWAK Homes vigorously defended its demolition of a family home as the owners announced plans to file civil and potentially criminal action against the company.

Claiming to be the long-suffering victim in a land dispute that affects more than 70 families in the Pinewood Gardens area, Arawak Homes Ltd argues it acted with patience and compassion before reducing the home of Maria and Frederick Wood to rubble.

Their home in Sir Lynden Pindling Estates is one of two bulldozed by the real estate developer in recent weeks as the company actively moves to reclaim a 156 tract of land in the Pinewood Gardens area.
