Andros teacher becomes latest road fatality

By STAFF WRITER Guardian News Desk A North Andros High School teacher became the country's latest traffic fatality victim over the weekend. Cuban national AlexisLoynas, 41, who taught chemistry and physics, was killed sometime around 9.30 p.m. on Friday while riding a bicycle on Queen's Highway, in Nicholl'sâ Town, Andros. He is listed as the nation's 33rd traffic fatality for the year. According to a police report, the victim and a 1992 Dodge Ram truck were both traveling west on Queen's Highway when the accident occurred.
