Winsome Miller FNM Free National Movement



Winsome Miller was born in Nassau, the daughter of Keva Darville and Leonard Darville.  She was educated at Queen’s College, The Bahamas Industrial Training College and the College of The Bahamas. After earning an associates degree at COB, Mrs Miller pursued further studies in management at James Madison University.  Mrs Miller began employment with Paradise Island Resorts International (subsequently Atlantis Resorts) in 1992. Since 1996, she held administrative and human resource posts at Unaio De Bancos Dos Brasilieros (Unibanco), Scotia Bank and a family-operated business. Since 2008, Mrs Miller has held a supervisory position in customer services at Generali Worldwide.  In 2011, Mrs Miller joined the Free National Movement, determined to continue offering representation for the people of The Bahamas.  Married to Anton Miller, the couple has three children: Chase, Chad, and Cohen Miller. The family lives in Yamacraw Beach Estates.

 

Shane Gibson PLP Progressive Liberal Party



D. Shane Gibson was born in Nassau on September 7, 1961 to Bahamian entertainer “King” Eric Gibson and Gerlene Gibson (nee Ferguson).  In 2002, Mr. Gibson was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Golden Gates Constituency. Subsequently, he was appointed by the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie as the Minister of Housing & National Insurance form 2002 to 2006 and then Minister of Immigration, Labour & Training from 2006 to 2007. He is currently serving in his second term as the Member of Parliament for the Golden Gates Constituency. During his political career Mr. Gibson has been a member of the Progressive Liberal Party’s Candidates Committee, a major fundraiser for the Party and was one of the 2010 Elizabeth By-election  Coordinators.  D. Shane Gibson is a results driven, dynamic, charismatic, astute, young professional Bahamian role model, whose entire life has been dedicated to championing the cause of the working class, the underprivileged, and the marginalized in the Bahamian society. His determination in this regard, his avowed commitment to his God and country, and his enlightened views on advancing any cause has earned him the respect of his peers and associates throughout The Bahamas.

Allsworth Pickstock DNA Democratic National Alliance



Allsworth Merlin Pickstock was born in New Providence on December 19th, 1953 to Edney and Emma Pickstock of Mastic Point, Andros.  He was educated at the Southern Junior Primary School, Harold Road High School and the Baillou Hill Senior High School. In 1973, he received a Music scholarship to attend Prairie View A & M University, in Prairie View, Texas.  Returning to The Bahamas, Pickstock continued his technical studies at the Bahamas Technical Institute where he became a certified auto mechanic in grade 3, 2 &1 motor mechanics; he also obtained certification and certificates in diesel and automatic transmissions.  He also served on the Bahamas Basketball Federation as Vice President for 12 years and presently on the New Providence Basketball Association as Commissioner. He has received many awards in the discipline of sports.  A father of seven, Pickstock is married to Mildred B. Pickstock, an educator, and is a member of the East Street Gospel Chapel, East Street North and enjoys singing, listening to music, sports and fishing.
