25M AIRPORT HOTEL DEAL CLOSE

THE Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) is close to signing a final agreement for a $25 million hotel and office/conference centre to be built at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), a project likely to create between 100-150 full-time jobs.

Frank Watson, chairman of the Airport Authority, yesterday confirmed to Tribune Business that negotiations with a group of south Florida-based investors for the 108-room hotel and conference centre were close to completion.

And this newspaper can reveal that the developers are seeking to construct a facility of 'four-star' standard, rather than the typical 'two-star' airport hotel, ...
