Cleveland Clinic is ranked as the No. 2 hospital in the world for the sixth consecutive year by Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2024 list, while also being recognized for its commitment to patient experience.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic Fairview are also recognized among the Top 250 hospitals in the world. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is ranked the No. 1 hospital in the UAE. In addition to its worldwide rankings, Newsweek also ranked the best hospitals in the United States, including Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital at No. 45.

“At Cleveland Clinic, our goals are to be the best place to receive care anywhere and the best place to work in healthcare,” said Tom Mihaljevic, M.D., CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic and the holder of the Morton L. Mandel CEO Chair. “A recognition like this reflects on every one of our 81,000 caregivers worldwide, who are dedicated, compassionate and committed to our patients and our communities.”

The rankings are based on surveys and data from hospitals in 30 countries.

Newsweek’s rankings are based on four data sources: online surveys of more than 85,000 medical experts from around the world; patient experience surveys; hospital quality metrics; and patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), which are completed by patients to measure their perception of functional well-being and quality of life. In other rankings released in September 2023, Newsweek rated Cleveland Clinic one of the top hospitals in the world for specialized care. Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2024 ranked Cleveland Clinic in all 12 specialties, including cardiac surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, pulmonology, urology, endocrinology, orthopedics, oncology and pediatrics.

Cleveland Clinic is committed to transparently reporting accurate, timely information about outcomes and encourages individuals to use a variety of sources to help identify quality care. Each year, Cleveland Clinic publishes performance across many medical and surgical specialties to help patients make informed choices.
