Three organizations held a week of Character Day activities to strengthen character at work, including a personal focus at home.

Corporate Character Day was happily embraced by the Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD), Colina Insurance Limited, and BTVI. During one week in October, they focused on character strengths tied to this year's theme, "The Power of Love."

"We introduced Character Day at the Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) to promote and emphasize the value of character within an organization," said HR Manager Villiemae Black. "Team members were encouraged to pause and reflect on the importance of demonstrating good character in their personal and professional lives. We also encouraged individuals to assess their strengths and areas for improvement and to strive for personal growth and development."

NAD focused on character strengths like humility, social intelligence, gratitude, kindness, and, on the last day, on self-love for kindness, staff were asked to "show some kindness by doing something nice for a coworker." In the customer experience department, Natassia Cartwright shares, "I was thrilled to be part of Character Day as a new team member and even more excited when I had the opportunity to win the grand prize. It was an awesome experience to promote and embody good character with the organization actively," she said.
