A tropical wave over the far Eastern Atlantic has a slight chance to develop in the coming days. Conditions are conducive for waterspout or funnel cloud activity. Waterspouts tend to form beneath lines of building cumulus clouds, just at the hint of rain. The boating community, in particular, should be on alert as they can easily flip boats. There is a potential for localized flooding during heavy and/or prolonged rainfall events. Heat indices can range from 99°F to 104°F or 37°C to 41°C. Residents are encouraged to limit outdoor activity and remain hydrated due to soaring heat indices.
