On Monday April 25 at 7:30 pm, Bishop Walter S. Hanchell will be honoured during the 26th church anniversary of People's Assembly, which will be held at Living Waters Kingdom Ministries on Warren Street. Pastor Leonardo A. Allen, Jr., newly installed Senior Pastor, will host the meeting and Apostle Raymond Wells is slated to preach the message. A number of dignitaries, ministers and a cross section of society are ecpected to be in attendance.

Bishop Hanchell is in recovery from a life-threatening double cancer diagnosis last year that almost took his life. He endured a nine hour procedure that removed half of his stomach and a cancer mass off his kidney. His recovery has been very difficult as a result of the affects of the surgery and chemotherapy treatments. Doctors in America gave the Bishop six months to live and the prognosis was not good.

After a recent checkup and extensive tests, the doctors confirmed that there was no trace of cancer in his body. This is nothing short of a modern day miracle. The prayers of the nation and the grace and mercy of God along with unwavering faith, have resulted in the healing Bishop Hanchell and we all give God thanks, praise and glory for His mighty power and marvellous work in using the medical doctors.
