SUN OIL SUPPORTS TEAM BAHAMAS AT CARIFTA AQUATICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sun Oil Limited is again partnering with the Bahamas Aquatics Federation to sponsor Team Bahamas’ participation at the 2023 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships, scheduled for April 16-19 in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Bahamas Aquatics Federation President, Algernon Cargill, shared, “The Bahamas is the defending CARIFTAChampions and have won CARIFTA Aquatics for the last 3 years. In fact, we have won 5 of the 6 previous championships. We are very confident that we will retain the CARIFTA title and the team is super excited! This event has not been held for the past 2 years and this meet is the first return to normalcy for these age group swimmers.”

Team Bahamas consists of 36 of the country’s top youth swimmers, aged 11-17 years. “We have a lot of qualifiers, our time standards are very tough,” Cargill said. “It speaks to the strength of the program and the commitment of the coaches and the parents in preparing the athletes for CARIFTA.“
