A pre-frontal trough, ahead of a cold front over South Florida, will move into the vicinity of the northwest Bahamas on Saturday resulting in unsettled weather over the northwest and central islands of The Bahamas through Sunday. Generally fair weather with isolated showers and thunderstorms is forecast for the Southeast Bahamas.

Variable cloudiness with scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Northwest and Central Bahamas on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the thunderstorms maybe severe at times with heavy downpours and possible flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.

The public should be alert for strong gusty winds and rough seas in or near heavy showers and thunderstorms.
