New Territory Senior Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Prince Rahming is pledging to increase his company's presence in the local market through rebranding, expanding services, and entering public discourse on issues related to the local financial sector. Giving notice of his intent, Mr. Rahming described the innovations the public can expect of PwC in the near future, in a press statement released yesterday:

"My partners and I seek to become more visible and accessible to you as we aim to better understand your needs and expectation...  As we look to the weeks and months ahead, you will begin to see evidence of grand changes which will include the formal launching of our new logo, and the launch of our expanded business advisory practice to include business recovery services, IT consulting, human resources and payroll services, corporate finance services, forensic accounting and corporate and tax compliance services."  PwC hopes that these changes will foster growth across all lines of service within its business advisory practice.

Mr. Rahming also hopes to play an active role in helping his firm to increase its level of public discourse.  His wealth of international experience will help in this regard.  During Mr. Rahming's 10-year tenure with PwC Switzerland, he served in various capacities, including lead banking auditor for the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), and has made significant contributions to the success and growth of that firm's financial services practice in Geneva.  In 2006, Rahming became a director in Switzerland.  Twelve months later, he made partner.

"You're going to see that because of the leadership and expertise that we have, including the fact that I am coming with 10 years of experience in Switzerland - one of the world's leading financial sector - we're going to be more engaged in debate particularly when it comes to issues surrounding the health and continued sustainability of the financial services industry in the Bahamas," said Rahming.

PwC partners, alumni, accounting professionals and government officials turned out to The Balmoral Club recently for the official introduction of the new Territory Senior Partner, and to hear his plans for the company.  On July 1, Mr. Rahming succeeded Clifford A. Johnson in the top post at PwC Bahamas.

"Our firm has a rich history in The Bahamas.  And as the new leader, I will build on this strong legacy and take steps to reconfirm our position as the preeminent professional services firm in the country.  We will achieve this through renewed energy and focus, one-on-one delivery of client services, quality in work, and the creation of added value to our clients as we seek to make our firm distinctive and once again relevant in the local marketplace," said Rahming.
