Some of the top Bahamian athletes are expected to compete at the 2011 BTC National Open Track and Field Championships in Freeport.

Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations' (BAAA) public relations officer Alpheus "Hawk" Finlayson puts today's profile spotlight on Grand Bahamian quarter-miler Demetrius Pinder.

Pinder was born in Grand Bahama. He attended Tabernacle Baptist Academy and now attends Texas A& M University in College Station, Texas.
