It’s an unfortunate fact that preparing children to return to school is not cheap. The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies (BSGC) recently launched its 2019 Back To School campaign in partnership with Rotary Bahamas.

President of Bahamas Striping Group of Companies, Mr. Atatrio Mitchell indicated that the 2019 campaign is the second year that BSGC has utilized Rotary as its distribution partner.

“As a company, we have had our own challenges and we realize that it will be a challenge for some parents to prepare their kids for Back to School so we are happy to step up as a corporate citizen and do our part.”

He added that the Back to School campaign has a tremendous impact on the lives of parents and more importantly the kids who are the future of this nation, and it is done mainly to help alleviate the financial burden that some parents face and who feel the pressures and we have always been committed to giving back and a sense of community and it is our responsibility to lend a hand. With more than ten Rotary clubs in The Bahamas, along with their junior branches in the schools, one of the main priorities of the organization is education and youth in The Bahamas.

Diane de Cardenas, Assistant Governor of Rotary Bahamas stated that Rotary is thrilled to be partnering with BSGC. Rotary has been in the Bahamas for over fifty (50) years  and opportunities such as these provides the platform for the organizations to give back to the community.

She added, that the bags will be distributed throughout the Bahamas as it is important that every child is prepared to go back to school.

BSGC has donated over one hundred thousand (100,000) school bags and supplies over the last six years through its various back to school campaigns because although the backpacks are tangible, there are many intangible benefits from the initiative because the bags and the tools within enhances the kids ability to learn while giving them a sense of pride which will give them a positive outlook on the new school year.
