Fitzgerald, Higgs in action at FINA Worlds

Action continued for Team Bahamas at the 2019 FINA (International Swimming Federation) World Aquatics Championships at the Nambu University Municipal Aquatics Center in Gwanju, South Korea.

In action on Wednesday morning for the first time in the pool was 20-year-old Jared Fitzgerald in the preliminary rounds of the men’s 100 meters (m) freestyle. Fitzgerald swam out of lane zero in heat five, touching the wall in 51.88 seconds. He finished ninth in that heat out of 10 swimmers. His splits were 25.26 seconds in the first 50 and 26.62 in the second 50 meters.
