The House of Assembly welcomed Olympic Gold-Medalist and 2018 Diamond League Winner Shaunae Miller-Uibo, her husband and Olympian decathlete Maicel Uibo, Olympian medalist Leevan Sands, and Jamaican Olympic Gold-Medalist and sprinting star Asafa Powell, during their attendance of the sitting of the House, on September 19, 2018.

Also a part of their delegation was Olympian and Director of Sports Timothy Munnings, and family members and friends.

Speaker of the House the Hon. Halson Moultrie recognized the Olympians and Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Lanisha Rolle and Leader of the Opposition the Hon. Philip Davis led in bringing commendations to them.
