This past year saw the launch of a new partnership between The Bahamian Brewery and Presidente the Caribbean’s number one beer. A partnership that gave 14 winners the opportunity to experience and enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to the Dominican Republic, VIP Services, Hotel accommodations, fine cuisine and tickets to the biggest Party in the Caribbean! 


Following the launch of The Bahamas arm of the Presidente Music Vibes Tour in September, The Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company took its commitment, and reputation for providing exciting, lively, and unforgettable experiences to even greater heights. Teaming up with the Caribbean’s number one beer to treat local winners to three days of presidential treatment in the Dominican Republic, with their under-the-cap promotion. 



“The Bahamian Brewery has expanded its brands to include some of the biggest lines of beer in the world”, noted Trade Marketing Supervisor Bryan Thurston. “We were amazed at what the Music Vibes Tour and Presidente brought to the table, and at how well the concert series was received by local audiences; and we know our winners could not believe the unlimited Presidente, the hospitality and the concerts they attended!” 



The Bahamas Music Vibes tour began in Nassau with sold-out performances by Reggae superstars Konshens, Dexta Daps and Rap newcomer Kent Jones at the Bahamas Sand Soccer stadium. It then culminated in an International star-studded spectacular, which included Presidente winners from around the region – all 300 of them – including New Providence, Grand Bahama, Aruba, Jamaica and more converged in the Dominican Republic in November for three days of adventure, fun, music and of course, Presidente Beer. 


Over a two-week period beginning in October 2017, hundreds of participants from around the country and the region, popped the tops off Presidente beer to retrieve the codes found under the bottle caps of each bottle they purchased. Customers were then given the opportunity to win Presidente branded goods and a chance to attend the Presidente Music Vibes Tour in the Dominican Republic by simply registering those codes on the official website at www.presidentebeer.com.  

The lucky winners were paired with an official tour guide in the DR who accompanied the Presidente fans on a series of daytime activities, ahead of the main event concert, which included tours of the country’s beautiful historical sites and more. As it had been doing all summer long, the three-day concert event united thousands of music lovers from the Latin America and the Caribbean through rhythm. 


“This was truly the best concert I’d ever been to, ” said Winner Sean Basden, “ Presidente really rolled out the red carpet for us and the shows were amazing with the largest stage I had ever seen, fireworks, food, drinks and incredible performances” he explained. 


For Dennis Palomino, the concert experience deepened his appreciation for different genres of music and the various cultures from around the region. Performers such as Ricky Martin, Mark Anthony, and Justin Timberlake hit the stage to provide stellar performances of their greatest hits set to an extraordinary display of lights and sound. 


“The lineup was extraordinary, there were so many wonderful artists and we were treated so well. I’m looking forward to the next Bahamian Brewery and Presidente collaboration” he explained. 


Grand Bahamas’ “Truly Bahamian” brewery opened in 2007 with the launch of its first beer SANDS.  The 20-acre brewery is located on the intersection on Queen’s Highway and Grand Bahama Way and is a 100% Bahamian owned business. The brewery also produces “Triple B”, a natural malt drink, sold via Asa H Pritchard Distributors as well as STRONG BACK, SANDS LIGHT, HIGH ROCK AND BUSH CRACK.  Bahamian Brewery and Beverage team currently employee just over 80 staff and recently expanded its operation into Nassau, opening a capital-based distribution centre at Kelly’s Liquor Store on Wulff Rd.
