When they say its BTC Country in Grand Bahama, they mean it! The Northern Team of BTC not only support sports development on Grand Bahama, but they get actively involved. Just last weekend, Team BTC was front and center, showing their unwavering support for the 31st GBPA Conchman Triathlon.

“The Conchman triathlon is a GB staple,” said Eldri Ferguson-Mackey. “The comradery at this event, the team work and the friendly competition makes for a great day of sports endurance and one BTC is proud to be a part of and participate in” she said.

On Saturday November 4th, 2017 at Taino Beach park, over 150 athletes participated in the swim, bike and run in the Olympic, sprint and iron kid’s categories. BTC employees Melvin Rolle and Davina Rutherford competed in the Corporate Challenge and placed 2nd while Don Laing, also took a second place finish in open men’s relay category.

In addition to providing both financial, branding support. BTC also provided internet and Wi-Fi services to the annual event, ensuring that each photo finish was captured in real time. BTC staff also provided volunteer support at the event, thanks to Daphne McKinney, Shawn Bowe, Dequann Carroll, Davina Rutherford, Leeshanria Lightbourne, Samara Neely as well as the BTC JA Students who all volunteered as course marshals and great cheerleaders with BTC provided thunder sticks.
