Salina Point, Acklins took a toll from the incredible storm surge brought on by Hurricane Irma.

Chief Councilor Mario Virgil released the following statement:

"Sea water covers the road in Salina point wash away the beach and the road. A pond is connected to the sea, and I fear the worst for the settlement."
