More than 50 local contractors, hotel engineers, property managers and maintenance providers took advantage of a free workshop, the second annual Hands-On Tour Expo, hosted by Sherwin-Williams in Nassau.

The all-day event gave attendees the opportunity to gain in-depth experience working with new additions to the Sherwin-Williams paint product line, receive tips on how to best apply their paint and related products, and the opportunity to interact directly with regional experts from the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company.

A few of the skills and techniques covered at the workshop included how to use Kool Seal Specialty Coatings, the application of light and heavy industrial products, Uniflex Roof Coatings, H&C Concrete Stain Coatings, and Total Wall, America's EIFS and Stucco Coatings system.

Local Sherwin-Williams representatives said that attending the workshop helped service providers to deliver better quality products and service to their clients, reducing the amount of call backs for the contractors and saving time and money for their customers.

Sherwin Williams Vice President of Sales, Caribbean Area, Jim Wagner, was excited by the response during their event in Nassau. “I was struck by how well-received the expo was by the attendees,” Mr Wagner said. “The combination of innovative products, applicator training, and product education, was impressive by any standard. We are proud to be affiliated with General Manager Reto Giovanoli and his organisation."

"It was a pleasure holding this for our clients in The Bahamas,” the local Sherwin-Williams general manager said. “This gave them a chance to get a more personal experience with the brand. We enjoyed spending the day with them and seeing their product knowledge grow."

Sherwin-Williams serves a wide range of customers. The company carries architectural products for home owners, painters, and contractors, industrial and specialty floor coatings, and they are the only paint company in The Bahamas that services the professional cabinetry makers with their specialty conversion varnishes and clear coats.
