Couple explore paradise by boat in the Bahamas

In May, we chartered a 35-foot Mainship Trawler to explore the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas. Here we are at Hope Town on Elbow Cay. Elbow Cay is home to the most famous landmark in the Abacos: the red-and-white striped lighthouse.

The Hope Town lighthouse is one of only three kerosene-powered lights in the world, and all three are in the Bahamas.

Tip: If you're in the Abacos, visit the Hope Town museum ? an impressive museum dedicated to the families that settled the area, and be sure to climb the 101 lighthouse steps for a spectacular view.
