One of the more successful leagues in the country, in terms of fan base, had one of its more signature nights of the season this past Saturday.
Quite a few spectators turned up for the New Providence Women’s Basketball Association (NPWBA) All-Star night this past Saturday at the D.W. Davis Gym, and they were entertained by three games, particularly the annual ‘Referees versus Coaches’ battle.
Once again, the coaches and administration prevailed over the New Providence Association of Basketball Officials, 39-34, but it was the pranks of the players, the inability to make shots, and just the overall defiance of the rules which kept the fans in attendance entertained. Tyrone ...
