Drama, dance, and music hit high notes at the National Arts Festival in Grand Bahama

D’Neka Cunningham of St. George’s High School shows off dramatic skills in Individual Verse Speaking for Grades 10-12 in the Drama Component of the E. Clement Bethel National Arts Festival 2016, at Our Lucaya, Freeport, Grand Bahama, March 9, 2016. The Festival has only two more days on the Island.



Natman Hield of Eight Mile Rock High School represents his school in the Individual Verse Speaking for Grades 10-12.



Jasmine Sands of Eight Mile Rock takes part in the Individual Verse Speaking for Grades 10-12. Noted director, actor and teacher Philip Burrows is adjudicating the Drama component of the Festival.



Samaiya Lundy of Sunland Baptist Academy dresses the part for “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” in the Pop Solo for 12 Years and Under.



D’ante Richė of Mary Star of the Sea delivers vocal range in “Hello” in the Pop Solo for 12 Years and Under for the Music Component. Elizabeth Thorton an educator of 43 years is adjudicating Music.



Siddrell Bullard of Lewis Yard Primary School shows emotion of a much older singer when she performs “Super Hero.”



Ethan Hepburn of the Bahamas Dance Theatre dances a Drama (Solo) for the Drama component.



Nathania Bowe of the Bahamas Dance Theatre performs “Disturbia” in the Jazz Dance Solo category. Long-time Dance Adjudicator Lawrence Carroll, who runs his own dance Academy, is again performing the Dance adjudication role.



St. George’s International Dancers put on a show during their performance in the International Folk Dance (Group) category.
