THE New Providence Volleyball Association has completed its best-of-five championship series at the D W Davis Gymnasium with the Scottsdale Vixens and the Scotiabank Defenders winning the respective women's and men's titles.

While the Vixens retained their title for the seventh consecutive year over arch-rivals Johnson's Lady Truckers in four games, the Defenders had to go the full distance before they prevailed over the Intruders.

In the fifth and deciding game Friday night, Scotiabank came from behind for a 20-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-21 and 15-11 victory. Kenderick Rahming led the Defenders with 13 points to secure the win.
