Bahamian footballer cut from Kansas City Chiefs
Devard Darling was released from the Kansas City Chiefs Wednesday. Darling, 27, spent the 2009 season on injured reserve. US reporter coming to Nassau for sports radio
An American sports reporter is excited about his new job as program director at The Bahamas first sports talk radio station. Matt Sampsell, who will move to Nassau this month, said the show will give listeners the chance to call in and participate in the show. The station will launch this year on the radio waves and on the internet.

Athletes head to the Persian Gulf, could win thousands
The Bahamas will send a 13-member team the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar, set for March 12-14. With 150 countries participating, this month's championships are expected to be the biggest ever. Judo Federation kicks off the Bahamian Grappling League
With six major tournaments planned his year, the Bahamas Judo Federation has big plans, starting with a bang last weekend. Fifty-seven athletes from three teams competed at Xavier's Lower School with more than 100 spectators showing support. The event raised $1,039, which will go to benefit a Haitian judo centre that was destroyed in the recent earthquake.
