Open Auditions for Cargo

Best Ever Film announces open auditions for the feature film Cargo on Thursday, October 8 from 1:30pm to 6:00pm. Auditions will take place at The Dundas Centre for Performing Arts on Mackey Street.

Cargo, an action/drama written by filmmaker Kareem J. Mortimer explores the miry world of human trafficking. The feature film is loosely based on the 8-time award-winning short film Passage.

In the film, British actor Warren Brown plays a sensitive fisherman who transforms into a prolific human smuggler to pay off a gambling debt and provide for his family. Cargo won best pitch at CaribbeanTales during the Toronto International Film Festival in 2012. The film was also accepted at the Toronto TIFF talent lab in 2013.
