Two men accused of importing a firearm into the country without the required permit have been remanded to prison pending a bail hearing.
Nathan Mackey Jr., 26, of Sunset Park, and Kentino Brown, 27, of Cowpen Road, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney yesterday on a single charge of gun importation.
Prosecutors allege that the men, while being concerned together, imported a brown .40 revolver into New Providence while not holding a special license to do so.
Attorney Roger Minnis represented the men who have denied the charge.
McKinney will hold a bail hearing and set a trial date on September 29.
