Javotte Bethel knew her decision had been right on target when she spotted drivers peering at her designs through their car windows from the street. Open in time for Valentine's Day, and a string of dressy occasions to follow, Bethel's boutique flashed a luxuriously ruffled, floor-length gown from a seven-foot display window on Bar 20 corner. The store, the window and even the location had been just what the young fashion designer had wanted.
"I definitely love the store," she said. "I love the area where I'm at. When I first opened up it was really, really good ... It's still exciting to me."
