Police captured one of the top 10 most wanted men during a special operation yesterday morning.
Jamal Gibson, also known as "Eggie", was wanted for multiple murders in Fox Hill, police said.
He was arrested after officers executed a search warrant at a Broadfield Road home in Eastern New Providence.
Police said Gibson was hiding underneath a bed.
They also said that during a search of the home they found marijuana.
Police said two men and two women were also arrested for harboring a fugitive and possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.
During a press conference in November, Assistant Commissioner Stephen Dean said police also wanted to question Gibson in relation to several armed robberies.
He said, "We believe if we get him off the streets, it would reduce the murder count."
Police also arrested three men for murder and attempted murder between Saturday and Monday.
Police said a 21-year-old man, who was wanted for the January 3 attempted murder of Crimston Rolle, turned himself in to the Central Detective Unit yesterday.
The man who police suspect is behind the December 30 murder of Randy McNeil in Nassau Village was also arrested yesterday.
McNeil, who was on bail in connection with a serious offense, was shot and killed shortly after he left a bar on Matthew Street, police said.
On Saturday, police arrested a 27-year-old man of Hollie Street in connection to the February 23, 2014 murder of Randy McNeil.
McNeil was also shot to death in Nassau Village, according to police.
