Web shops prepare for compliance with AML/CFT

With legalization and regulation, local web shops are now part of the gaming industry and must now contend with issues of compliance. It is a matter The Nastac Group has taken seriously.
Companies such as FML Group of Companies are beginning to meet their requirements through education within the field of anti-money laundering and combatting the financing of terrorism so as to ensure compliance with regulators.
The Nastac Group Ltd. held a workshop entitled "AML/CFT Workshop-Level 1", a course designed to inform industry participants on the importance of being aware of Know Your Client (KYC) procedures which are key within any industry dealing with monetary funds.
The Bahamas has taken the chairmanship of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF), with Attorney General Allyson Maynard-Gibson serving as chair.
As such, The Bahamas as a jurisdiction must ensure that industries such as financial services and gaming comply with international best practices as prescribed by bodies such as the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
