Prison transport bus repaired

Police have repaired a hole in the roof of the bus used to transport prisoners, The Nassau Guardian confirmed.
The emergency hatch on the roof of the bus flew off as police returned inmates including accused murderers and robbers to Her Majesty's Prison last week Friday.
Recently, accused murderer Phillip McCartney allegedly walked off the bus through its back emergency door, which does not have a lock.
Police have used a school bus to transport prisoners since their previous transport bus broke down.
Police officers involved in the transport of inmates said the other bus has secured screened windows and it is outfitted with a double locked gate.
