Hanna to play for pro beach soccer team in Switzerland

Quality Beach Soccer Club (QBS) recently traveled to Virginia Beach, Virginia to play in the in the North American Sand Soccer Championships. The team finished with a win/loss record of 1-1 during the tournament, and also hosted a brief coaching expo for some of the young people in attendance. The tournament played host to more than 1,000 teams and is considered the largest beach soccer tournament in the world.
The president of QBS and national team player Ehren Hanna left for Switzerland yesterday, to play for a professional team in the Suzuki Swiss Beach Soccer League. Hanna took to Facebook to deliver the news to both personal friends and supporters of QBS.
"Leaving the island tomorrow for Switzerland to play for BSC Sable Dancers Bern in the Suzuki Swiss Beach Soccer League. Thanks to God for the opportunity. Wish me luck!"
The BSC Sable Dancers Bern is the first beach soccer club ever in Switzerland. They began play in 2002. During the 2012 season, Swiss national team player/manager Angelo Schirinzi, Swiss nationals Stephan Leu and Philipp Borer, and Tahitian nationals Teva Zaveroni and Heimanu Taiaru, all played with the Sable Dancers.
In the past, a lot of beach soccer stars played for the Sable Dancers, such as Ramiro Amarelle, Nico Caporale, Javi Torres, Dejan Stankovic, Nico Jung, Juninho Alagoano, Fernando DDI, Rui Mota and former Italy Team Captain Roberto Pasquali.
Under the leadership of Hanna, QBS has competed in several international events and hosted friendly games as well. The sport of beach soccer has grown over the past few years in the country, and has also become popular among field soccer players.
Hanna and the rest of the senior players of QBS will be hosting a youth camp this summer at the Bahamas Football Association's (BFA) Beach Soccer and Futsal Facility near the foot of the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge.
