Bahamian designer, Phylicia Ellis showcases new children's line at Tobago Fashion Weekend

Bahamian fashion designer Phylicia J. Ellis launched her new ready-to-wear children's line, Piper & Evali last year.

 The line boasts signature details, with vibrant colors, inspired for the fun and functionality for today's little girls.

The Summer 2013 Piper & Evali collection showcased at Tobago Fashion Weekend in May and consists of relaxed resort-like dresses.

 Ellis said her inspiration was the bold expression of color and fabrics, mixing prints and paying close attention to signature detailing, like the Piper Pleated Spin...

Dr Jonathan Rodgers, well known Bahamian ophthalmologist, will launch his second publication The Bahamian Dream on Friday, May 31 at Doongalik Studios at 6pm.

 Media Enterprises who were the publishers of this second edition, stated: "Dr. Jonathan Rodgers offers a long overdue introspective look at critical aspects of the Bahamian economy and society.

Dr. Rodgers makes the case that, if we continue along the same socioeconomic path of our forefathers, we can only therefore reasonably expect outcomes similar to those achieved in the past. Therefore, we must recalibrate (and in many cases...radically so) in order to remain relevant and sustainable in the new world order...

For the second time in just seven episodes, Bahamian designer Theodore Elyett has emerged the challenge winner on Mission Catwalk, beating out seven other designers from around the Caribbean to secure the win.
