When 18-year-old Renaldo Rolle walks the corridors of his old junior high school, teachers smile and say good morning. Janitresses remember the days he scooted down the paths as a student. And the occasional student in uniform calls him "mister" "He's an excellent leader," said Marvia Rolle, a teacher at L.W. Young Junior High School who taught Renaldo in the eighth grade. "He's very, very helpful, he's efficient in whatever you ask him to do," she said. Rolle has already begun to make good on a promise to himself to give back to the schools he attended, and to the community in which he lives.
