Myles Munroe International (MMI) in conjunction with the Third World Leadership Association (ITWLA) will host the 2013 Global Leadership Summit in Freeport, Grand Bahama November 11-14th under the theme “Character the Moral Force of Leadership”. This highly anticipated event will be held at the Grand Lucayan Resort and is expected to attract a wide cross section of local and international leaders within the business, religious and civic communities. Delegates are expected from the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and throughout the Family of Islands including New Providence and Grand Bahama. This will mark the first time that the annual Global Leadership Summit is being held in Grand Bahama and Dr. Munroe as well as members of his team are very excited about being able to host this conference in Grand Bahama at this time especially considering the enormous challenges facing the Freeport economy.
The overall vision and goal of the summit is “Rediscovering & Restoring the Priority & Power of Morality & Ethics in Leadership” and during the course of the four day event there will be a number of interactive daytime workshop sessions in addition to a number of dynamic and inspiring evening sessions. Facilitating these sessions will be a number of international speakers including Dr.Jerry Horner (USA), Dr. Peter Morgan (Jamaica), Sylvia Jordan (USA), Raphael Massiah (Guyana), Bob Harrison (USA), Dr.Martin Williams (USA), Josephine Bakhius (Trinidad), Jerome Edmonson (USA) and Margaret Elcock (Trinidad). Local speakers will include business consultant Dr. Dave Burrows, government consultant Richard Demeritte, human resource consultant Beverly Saunders, former Minister of State for Finance Zhivago Laing, the Speaker of the House of Assembly the Hon. Kendal Major and current Attorney General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the Hon. Allyson Maynard Gibson.
There will also be two special forums held during the summit including a Pastors Forum for church leaders from throughout the Bahamas including those in Grand Bahama. This event will be held on Monday November 11th at the Pelican Bay Hotel beginning at 8am and admission is free. There will also be a special Economic & Business Leaders Forum for all local business leaders on Wednesday November 13th at 2:45pm. This important round table discussion will feature a number of local and international business professionals including Mr. Ian Rolle President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority, Werner Gruner Investment Banker & CEO of Starlight Global (South Africa), Jerome Edmondson President of Edmondson & Associates (USA), Larry Jordan CEO of Entrepreneur Development Inc (USA) and several others.
