MULIT-MILLION DOLLAR TARGETED AT RELIGION TOURISM SUMMIT

On Monday October 1, 2012, The first ever in the Bahamas, Religious Tourism Summit will launch ‘A New Season for Tourism.’ Representatives and Citizens from every sector in Grand Bahama will be attending this historical Summit at the Canal House, Pelican Bay beginning at 9 am. This Summit is excepted to reveal the vision and strategies to mobilize an aggressive initiative to bring new tourism business to the Bahamas especially Grand Bahama.

Pastor Eddie stated that ‘We will engage and attract Religious groups from abroad to have their conferences, retreats, meetings, conventions, and cruises on Grand Bahama Island.” “In our opinion Grand Bahama is ideally located in close proximity to the United State and offers a unique destination where religious tourism can a spiritual experience in a beautiful and tranquil atmosphere.’’ Pastor Victor further stated ‘that Statistical information from the Ministry of Tourism reveals that Religious Tourism is an 18 billion Global market, with over 2.1 billion Christians in over 178 nations and over 240 million Christians in the USA. We will seek to obtain a significant share of that market and make Grand Bahama the hub for Religious Tourism in the Bahamas.”

Expected to bring remarks at the Summit is Rev. Ranford Patterson President of the Bahamas Christian Council and the Honorable Michael Darville Minister of Grand Bahama. The keynote speakers are Dr. Myles Munroe president of Bahamas Faith Ministries and the Honorable Obie Wilchombe Minister of Tourism. It is important to mention that Dr. Munroe would just be recently returning from Israel where he was the principle speaker at Israel Leadership Summit with 186 nations.

Over 2000 leaders from one hundred and eighty six nations gathered in Jerusalem for the 2012 ALL NATIONS LEADERS CONVOCATION at the Ramat Rachel Hotel and Conference Center Dr. and Mrs. Munroe along with the delegation of Government leaders from over 40 nations meet with Knesset Members including Cabinet members, Civic leaders and Religious leaders from Israel.
