The naked woman found murdered under a truck on Perpall Tract early Thursday was yesterday identified as Emmanuela Augustin, 23, of Coral Harbour.
Augustin reportedly had injuries to the face, but police could not say what caused them.
However, a bloody rock was found at the scene.
Blood was also on the passenger side of the red Dodge 1500 truck where she was found.
The truck was parked next to an abandoned building.
Her murder brought the count for the year to 36. Augustin was the third female murdered this year, according to police.
On January 9, Tasha Mondelis was stabbed to death in Grand Bahama, police said.
On February 14, Alexandria Farrington, 24, was shot and killed at a party on Fire Trail Road.
In 2009, 10 women were murdered; in 2010, 14 women were murdered and last year 16 females were killed, including three teens.
