Teaching profession under scrutiny, says public sector official

Teachers and administrators were given some sound words of advice yesterday morning by a senior official of the Department of Public Service during their annual Enrichment Day exercise in preparation for the start of the new school year.
Deputy Permanent Secretary Donald McCartney, who himself served as an educator for many years, addressed the gathering at the St. Georges High School gymnasium on the topic,"The Implication of Teacher Professionalism in Education".
