NASSAU, Bahamas -- Scotiabank Bahamas donated ten thousand dollars to Special Olympics Bahamas to send Team Bahamas to The Special Olympics World Summer Games 2011 in Athens, Greece. The thirty-six member Bahamian team recently returned home having competed in the sports of Tennis, Swimming, Track  & Field, Judo, Bocce, Basketball and Bowling.

Scotiabank's Senior Manager for Marketing and Public Relations Ms. Leah R. Davis applauded the enormous efforts of the Special Olympics Bahamas team, "Preparing the team to not only represent the Bahamas at the World Summer Games in Athens has been an colossal team effort and the coaches, organizers, volunteers and corporate Bahamas are to be commended for their commitment."
