HENLEY, England, The United Kingdom -- Bahamian performer Kirkland "K.B." Bodie electrifies the audience at the recent Henley Festival, in Henley on Thames, England.  He was a part of the "Rakin' n Scrapin'" aspect of the Bahamian delegation in England, who are performing at various venues and festivals during the month of July. Junkanoo artists are currently there showcasing their artistry in the “Bahamas Junkanoo Dey Comin’” section of the tour. Musicians Colyn McDonald and Basil Rolle backed K.B. for two days at the week-long festival, performing such hits as "Juz Cuz She Phat" and "Hangova'".

According to Project Manager for the initiative Ms. Angelique McKay the performances have "gone over very well" with the festival audiences. "Bahamian culture is well received, which is one of the reasons The Bahamas is represented here again" she said. One of the local radio stations in Henley requested an interview from KB and now has his music in rotation on their station "Marlow FM". K.B. said, "I am having a great time here in 'Jolly old England', showing them what real Bahamian music is all about."
