3rd Annual Smokin' Hot BBQ Competition

The 3rd Annual Smokin’ Hot BBQ Competition took place at Malcolm Park this Saturday. Teams fired up the grills and smokers and talked trash all week while vying for bragging rights and the coveted 1st place plaque.

Da Snapper Crew out of Arawak Cay won the toughest category brisket and ultimately won the entire competition. They will go on to compete in San Juan Puerto Rico next February and also compete in either Memphis in May or the Jack Daniel World Invitational.

The Kansas City BBQ Society representatives where on board the Yellow Bird Boat and assisted with the judging.

Bahamas Food Service donated the meat including chicken leg-quarters, spare ribs, pork shoulder/ butt and pork brisket.

All teams cooked an extra shoulder butt and donated it to Hands for Hunger.
